Voluntary Work

Assistant/Co-Worker - Mourne Grange Camphill Community, Kilkeel, on going
Living with people with special needs and learning difficulties means helping out wherever help is needed, be it with helping the residents with their care plans, preparing food, helping in the workshops or giving one-on-one  sessions with the occupants.

Classroom Assistant Teacher/ Art and Craft TeacherMourne Grange Village School, 2011
I assumed sole responsibility of two classes, aged between 7 and 9 years old, for a period of 6 weeks. I assisted them with work that needed completed as well as taught different arts and crafts and assigning the pupils projects.

Workshop Assistant/Co-ordinatorMourne Grange Camphill Community, on going
In the Weavery, Garden and Craft Workshops I assumed responsibility of assisting the ‘Work Master’ with the running of the workshops. This entailed assisting the occupants with their tasks, fixing and setting up the equipment, and teaching them new techniques and tasks. When the ‘Work Master’ was absent, I assumed sole responsibility of the workshops.
